Since winning the Knight's Arts Challenge last year, FEAST (Funding Emerging Art with Sustainable Tactics) Miami has hosted a series of impressive fetes at various venues. Their events showcase tasty vegan eats and creative ideas: artists pitch cool concepts, and attendees get to vote for their favorite. The winner scores the proceeds from the meal's ticket sales.
On February 1, they'll be hosting their first-ever brunch event at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Chef Loren Pulitzer of Meals That Heal and Simply Sharon's will be serving up a plant-based midday meal in one of the city's most glorious settings.

"This event is your opportunity to taste some amazing local vegan food that is delicious and nutrient dense," says Pulitzer. "It is also such a great opportunity to be introduced to the premier vegan companies in Miami. The way this community has come together and supported each other is a gift and I am proud to be part of it."

There'll also be tastings from local guest vendors like Tio Gazpacho and Badass Cookies.
On the art side of the equation, the five artist finalists for this event are Leïla A. Leder Kremer & Juana Meneses/Portable Editions for "Artists Making Books"; Marie Whitman for "Eat Your Poem ~ Poetry With a Purpose"; Alexey Taran for "Tribe"; Sofia Bastidas for "Dwelling Projects" and Rosa Naday Garmendia for "Traveling to Cuba? Send me a postcard."
The suggested minimum donation is $30, and the brunch kicks off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 1 at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Rd. Tickets can be purchased online.
