Fairchild Hosts Chocolate Festival This Weekend

Calling all chocolate addicts! You know who you are. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden will host its fourth annual International Chocolate Festival beginning tomorrow, January 22, through Sunday, January 24.



The fest will feature demos, lectures, tastings, and food vendors. Learn to make your own chocolate, meet chocolatiers and bakers, or do some chocolate yoga. What? Anyway, the weekend promises to be fun.



If you have baking skills and can make your cake look artsy, enter the chocolate cake and cupcake contest. You have until tomorrow afternoon. Just know that if you win, there's no prize other than a certificate and fame and glory.



The festival takes 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday ,and Sunday. Admission is $20 adults, $15 seniors, $10 children 6-17, and free to children 5 and under and Fairchild members. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Rd., Coral Gables.
