If you think taking your significant other out for a romantic dinner on Valentine's Day is too much amateur hour but don't exactly relish the thought of sleeping on the couch the rest of the week, Essensia Restaurant has just the deal for you.

Starting Friday, and continuing through the Big Day itself, the swanky Collins Avenue restaurant at the equally swanky Palms Hotel & Spa is offering a six-course prix fixe dinner with the rather snuggly title of "Love's Journey."

The journey begins with a rose bellini cocktail, followed by an organic salad of Paradise Farms greens, then a poached Asian pear with smoked duck breast, yuzu sorbet with petit mint leaves, either chardonnay butter-poached lobster with sweet pea ravioli or rack of lamb with green curry mashed potatoes and blueberry demiglace, truffled wild mushroom risotto and--finally--dark chocolate passion fruit truffle with champagne sorbet.

Love's Journey will set you back $185 per couple or $285 if you want private dinner service in the Tiki Cabanas or Gazebo, and you should definitely get your rear in gear and make rezzies.

Bon voyage!
