Eddie Jackson is a man of many talents.  The Texas native and former Miami Dolphin is also an accomplished chef and Food Network's newest star.

Jackson was the victor in the latest season of Food Network Star. He wowed mentors Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis with his culinary abilities and showmanship. That win landed Jackson his own show, entitled BBQ Blitz.

This new Food Network barbecue competition premieres Friday, October 9 at 10:30 p.m., and will feature Jackson visiting cities across the country to challenge chefs in barbecue grill-offs.  In his travels, Jackson will visit Texas, Alabama, and Miami.
Tomorrow, September 15, Jackson will be in Key Biscayne to tape his Miami episode. He will host three of Miami's best chefs in a grill off on the beach in Crandon Park. Best part? Food Network is looking for some lucky barbecue fans to participate in the filming.

The filming starts tomorrow at 8 a.m., ending around mid-afternoon. Food Network casting is looking for 40-50 lively audience members who are ready to have a great time and cheer on the chefs as they grill their way to victory. Audience participants should be college age or older, but teens 15 and up can attend with a legal guardian.

The chefs competing will be a surprise. Audience members will be seated behind the chefs, so you'll be on camera. The show is also interactive, so be prepared to chat with host Jackson and the three mystery chefs. Taping is outdoors on the beach, so dress in a camera-ready casual, picnic-style vibe.

If you're interested in being part of the show, you must email Kelly Brugess at [email protected] to be placed on the guest list. If selected, you will receive a confirmation email with exact location and more information. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means all spots have been filled.
