Easter Sunday is not only about Easter bunnies, egg hunts and Hallmark greeting cards. It's also a time for festive meals in the company of family and many local restaurants have created special menus to celebrate the occasion. We've selected the best around town.

Angelique Euro Café

The a la carte brunch at this Coral Gables café features a mix of Spanish-inspired breakfast items and entrees. The pulled pork benedict and the Rioja steak-n-huevos - sirloin marinated in citrus and paprika with sautéed onions and peppers, fried eggs and patatas bravas - on the menu are making us very hungry. Brunch will be served between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. 117 Miracle Mile; 305-529-9922.

Area 31

Between noon and 3 p.m., enjoy an all-inclusive buffet including breakfast favorites like waffles, eggs Benedict and steak frites, drinks including mimosas and Bloody Mary's, and an omelete station. Eos at The Viceroy

Omelets, sushi and sashimi, a carved baby pig and a roasted whole lamb are all part of the Easter brunch buffet at Eos, which also features a children's menu complete with a sundae bar. Prices are $55 for adults and $30 for children. Brunch is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 485 Brickell Avenue; 305-503-0373.

Essensia at The Palms Hotel and Spa

Chef Frank Jeanetti will serve organic, seasonal selections for this Easter brunch, where the Easter bunny will make an appearance for the kiddies. Cost is $39 plus tax and gratuity and includes one glass of prosecco or a mimosa. Kids 12 and under pay $19. From 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. 3025 Collins Avenue; 305-908-5458.

Gibraltar

Easter brunch buffet at Gibraltar features a variety of stations to satiate everyone's cravings. These include a breakfast station, a seafood station, a carving station and a holiday dessert table. Michy's

Michelle Bernstein is whipping up a buffet of tapas and salads to start your meal. Then you choose one entrée from the menu. Price is $48 per person ($24 for children under 12) and includes one mimosa or bellini. 6927 Biscayne Boulevard; 305-759-2001.
