South Floridians in need of a job can now look to Denny's restaurant and the Rebuild Your Life Project for some hope. Two Denny's locations are holding mass hiring events tomorrow in Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

The chain is looking to fill several dozen part-time, full-time and management jobs in 14 of its South Florida locations.

Interviews will be held at the Days Inn Hotel at 2601 N 29th Avenue in Hollywood and 16935 NW 67th Avenue in Miami Lakes from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Candidates who want to get hired should bring two forms of valid identification and should probably dress nice. They're using the same hiring criteria for any other interview, so be ready.

This isn't a Rick Scott-sponsored jobs plan to aid the nearly one million unemployed in Florida, Denny's just wants to help out the community.

"The organization's mission to inspire those in need to reach for their goals is in-line with Denny's commitment to the communities we serve and the professional development of our employees," said Denny's Regional Manager Nader Talebzadeh. "Denny's supports Rebuild Your Life Project and encourages women and men in search of life-changing opportunities to participate in this open interview event."

Denny's became involved with Rebuild Your Life Project through Te-Erika Patterson, the organization's founder who also happens to be a Denny's employee.

Last April Patterson intentionally went homeless and documented the process of rebuilding her life as a testimony to encourage women in similar situations.

The Rebuild Your Life Project is a Hollywood, Florida-based organization that provides resources and advice empowering women who wish to become self-sufficient and successful in life.

"Denny's doesn't normally hold events like this," says Brian Cunningham, a South Florida district manager for Denny's. "It's really to show support for the whole project. This could be mutually beneficial for us."

Candidates looking to contact the restaurants for more information should call 305-821-7032 and 954-923-7300.
