Douglas Hirsch Group will perform the tunage to help raise funds and awareness for the cancer treatment of esteemed friend and fellow musician, Charles Robinson. Despite the illness, Robinson himself will be performing live with the group as a special guest. No word yet on his instrument(s) of specialty but we have no doubt it'll be well worth the visit.
Executive Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli has all the regular brunch favorites lined up for the Sunday event, including: the "Flat Top" Burger with applewood smoked bacon and Vermont cheddar ($13), and Griddled Banana & Nutella Pancakes with fresh seasonal berries ($14).
While we're at it, might as well advise in favor of the Applewood Smoked Bacon & Pecan Pancakes with cinnamon butter ($14) ... anyone who knows this Short Order insider knows I'll swear by those cakes of goodness forever. Keep in mind, while you're noshing and enjoying the live jazz, the Bottomless Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar is also available for $25.
"I feel fortunate to take part in something with so much meaning," Chef Giorgio told us. "Having recently lost a friend to cancer, Sunday's event is hitting a little closer to home".
The boutique resort's restaurant will be collecting donations all through Sunday to help along Robinson's treatments.
There couldn't be a more fulfilling way to be give back and enjoy the Chef's creations all at the same time.
