A special toast to Mother Earth is due. This Monday, April 22, will mark the 49th anniversary of the environmental movement that put recycling, carpooling, clean energy, and issues with air and water on our radar and got the human race thinking more seriously about preserving our planet for future generations.

For this year's celebration, local restaurants are joining the cause by offering delicious, sustainable specials that will draw foodies' attention to the systemic problems that have yet to be solved. So honor the planet by enjoying a special meal or drink sourced from its bounty. Here's a roundup of where to dine on Earth Day.
