With the tourism industry in a pinch, hospitality wants to be BFF with locals this summer. Remember Cuba Gooding Jr.'s Rod Tidwell in Jerry Maguire? (You're lovin' me now!) Yeah, it's kinda like that.

Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles is the latest hotel to develop a promotion around access to its private pool and beach facilities for locals looking for a "staycation." Normally $35 to take a dip, it'll be on the house for folks who throw down $39 on a new Sunday brunch service from the whimsical cooks behind the Paradigm test kitchen at Neomi's.

Short Order recently spoke to Chef de Cuisine Chad Galiano who described how he'll use a flat Evo grill to evenly heat mini omelets for guests on the patio.  The menu will also feature truffled Kennebec potatoes and Bourbon Street French toast, as well as Southern fried chicken and cilantro lemon fish.  Wash it all down with caipirinhas, cocktails with tropical fruit infusions, and "seasonal vegetable shots."

For about half the price of your typical Sunday hotel brunch, you could say this deal is more like "buy one get two free at 50 percent off."  Not going to complain about that.

Neomi's Sunday brunch is available from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for $39.00 per person and $20.00 for children under 12, exclusive of tax and service charge.  Special rates for afternoon poolside and beach cabana usage will be offered at $125.00 and are based upon availability.  For more information on dining at Neomi's call (305) 692-5770 or visit the resort located at 18001 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach.
