Brooklyn Brewery is taking a bit of the New York City borough with the most street cred on the road. What in hell does that mean, and how, exactly, do you bring Brooklyn to Miami, anyway?
By delivering the best of Brooklyn's art, music, parties, culture, and (of course) beer to the Magic City. The Brooklyn Brewery Mash stops in Miami December 9 through 15. The 305 is the last location on an 11-city tour that benefits Slow Food USA.
Because it's the Brooklyn Brewery Mash, beer is prominently featured, including some rare Brooklyn Brewery beers not usually seen outside New York. You can also expect some awesome light shows and projection art courtesy of NBNY, the organizers of Brooklyn's Bring to Light Festival.
There's a packed roster of events, some free, some with price tags. Here's the entire week's worth of beer-flavored goodness:

December 10 through 13 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Abbey Brewing Co. (Free)
Enjoy Brooklyn Brewery beer specials and try new and rare offerings. There will also be giveaways nightly.
Art of the Burger
Monday, December 9, at 7 p.m.
Shake Shack, Coral Gables ($25)
Learn about the flavor profile behind Shake Shack's craveable burgers from the chain's culinary director, Mark Rosati. Then learn how to pair burgers with beer hand-selected by Brooklyn Brewery house chef Andrew Gerson.
Chaos Cooking
Tuesday, December 10, at 6 p.m.

It's a potluck dinner meets a pop-up. Strangers mingle, contribute ingredients to make a dish of their choice, and everyone cooks together before sitting down to a massive feast. Think of it as your office holiday party, but with people you might actually want to spend time with.

Brooklyn DJ Jonathan Toubin spins the best of 1960s soul music. You show off your best moves. The winner gets $100 cash and a trip to New York for the dance-off championship at Brooklyn Bowl. Must be 21 or older to win.

Bakehouse Art Complex ($10)
Who says beer and architecture don't mix? Engage in conversation and a Q&A with one of Miami's most respected architects, Allan Shulman, while enjoying a complimentary Brooklyn beer. A percentage of ticket sales will benefit Slow Food Miami.
Found Footage Festival
Friday, December 13, and Saturday, December 14, at 9 p.m.
O Cinema ($12)
Comedian Kurt Braunohler hosts this film festival featuring videos that were found in warehouses, dumpsters, garage sales, and thrift stores throughout the country. Who knows? That VHS tape your dad made of you throwing up at Disney World might just make it to the screening.
