Back in August, Schnebly Miami Brewing Company set out to find a woman to be their Big Rod Ale Girl. Her beauty would be enshrined on tap handles across America.

Schnebly's searched for a model who could not only conform to the pin-up style, but whose personality empowered women. They chose Miami model and actress Dominica Westling.

The petite platinum blonde model-turned-actor originally hails from Uppsala, Sweden. Her career started after she moved to the United Kingdom, being offered a starring role in a music video. Since then she has appeared in several men's magazines including Maxim and FHM.

Westling, 28, starred as herself in the 2011 TV reality show "Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?" and appears in the Hollywood movie "Murder 101" with Tom Sizemore, which premieres next February.

Schnebly's commissioned Miami artist Carlos Martinez of Reach Design to render her likeness into a drawing, which will be carved onto the wooden tap handle for their Big Rod blonde ale.

For the photographer, Schenbly's commissioned Benhur Barrero of GoCoverGirls.com.

"We chose Dominica because of her professionalism and her background in modeling," Schnebly's Director of Marketing Joe Reyes said. "What we were really looking for was a local girl and she just came in and fit the mold for what we wanted and she rocked out."

Recently, Schnebly's signed on with Doral-based Gold Coast Beverage Distributors to ship brew throughout South Florida. Big Rod blonde ale is currently poured at 15 locations throughout South Florida, from Tap 42 in Fort Lauderdale, to Sloppy Joe's in Key West. Expect to see that one-of-a-kind tap handle in a bar or restaurant near you.

With so many beers to choose from, how do you make a decision? With help from a tap handle that catches your eye. Look for the Schnebly's tent at Grovetoberfest on Saturday.

In its second year, Grovetoberfest is Miami's Oktoberfest home brew celebration. There are a limited number of general admission tickets at $39 for online purchase. The beer socialite package is sold out, and VIP tickets are even more limited, with only 500 in total being sold. There are some left, however, but the online price of $89 ends at midnight on Saturday morning.
