American Craft Beer Week runs from May 12 through 18 and celebrates not only beer but also beer paired with food. Like the steady stream of special releases around the country, several beer dinners are happening around Miami too.

If you missed the Cigar City Brewing five-course beer dinner at OTC last night, no worries. There are many more throughout the city during ACBW 2014. And the one scheduled to take place at the Filling Station last night has been rescheduled for an unspecified date in June.

Batch Gastropub is hosting beer and beer cocktail dinners throughout the week, beginning with a beer dinner Tuesday and beer dinner paired with a beer cocktail Wednesday through Saturday. The dinners cost $45 each day and feature beers from Funky Buddha, Gravity Brewlab, Wynwood Brewery, and Cigar City. Each dinner begins at 6 p.m.

  • May 13 -- Beer dinner. First course: Beer cocktail, Funky Buddha Hop Gun, 7.7 percent ABV paired with mixed greens salad with IPA vinaigrette or shaved ribeye nachos. Second course: Funky Buddha Pina Colada, 5 percent, paired corvina with a peach miso, pickled cucumbers and wilted spinach or mac and cheese with crispy brussels sprouts and bacon. Third course: Funky Buddha OP Porter, 6.3 percent, paired with chocolate stout ice cream sundae or pecan Jameson milk 'n' cookies or lemon tart.
  • May 14 -- Beer Cocktail Funky Buddha Floridian, 5.6 percent. First course: Funky Buddha Hop Gun, 7.7 percent paired with mixed greens salad with IPA vinaigrette or shaved ribeye nachos. Second course: Funky Buddha Pina Colada, 5 percent, paired with corvina with a peach miso, pickled cucumbers and wilted spinach or mac and cheese with crispy brussels sprouts and bacon. Third course: Funky Buddha OP Porter, 6.3 percent, paired with chocolate stout ice cream sundae or pecan Jameson milk n' cookies or lemon tart.
  • May 15 -- Beer Cocktail. Gravity Brewlab Magia Blanca Saison. First course: Gravity Brewlab Hefeweizen, beer BBQ pork belly bun or pretzel bites with beer cheese. Second course: Gravity Brewlab Red Wine Barrel Aged Sour Saison, beer-braised short rib tacos or carbonara pizza. Third course: Gravity Brewlab Barrel Aged Cherry Cider, chocolate stout ice cream sundae or pecan Jameson milk 'n' cookies or lemon tart.
  • May 17 -- Beer Cocktail: Cigar City Hotter Than Helles, 5 percent. First course: Cigar City Florida Cracker, 5 percent abv, paired with chicken wings with beer chili glaze or beer-battered asparagus with soy glaze. Second course: Cigar City Jai Alai, 7.5 percent, paired with sweet and spicy fried chicken sliders or Philly cheese steak pizza. Third course: Cigar City Maduro, 5.5 percent, paired with chocolate stout ice cream sundae or pecan Jameson milk 'n' cookies or lemon tart.

Wynwood Brewing Company

There will be two Wynwood Brewing Company beer dinner events happening this week, one at the Marriott Biscayne Bay Wednesday and one at Batch Gastropub Friday.

  • May 14 -- Marriott Biscayne Bay will host "Brew on the Bay" beer dinner paired with WBCo's beer starting at 7 p.m. The dinner will feature four different stations, each one paired with a different WBC brew. The cost is $45 per person with reservations before May 14 and $55 at the door. Call 305-536-6414 for reservations.
  • May 16 -- Batch Gastropub beer dinner with beer cocktail: Wynwood Magic City American Pale Ale, 5.6 percent. First course: Wynwood La Rubia, 5 percent, paired with coconut shrimp with pina colada dipping sauce or shishito peppers with beer cheese. Second course: Wynwood IPA, 7.2 percent, paired with pepper crusted hanger steak with stout demi-glaze or beer battered fish n chips: Third course: Wynwood Pop's Porter, 6.2 percent, paired with chocolate stout ice cream sundae or pecan Jameson milk 'n' cookies or lemon tart. Cost is $45.

Loews Miami Beach Hotel

Preston's Brasserie will host a Sam Adams beer dinner at Loews Miami Beach Hotel Wednesday, May 14. The dinner features four courses. The menu includes scallop ceviche, moro seafoam paired with Samuel Adams Summer Ale; crispy kale and raspberries, warm pancetta paired with Samuel Adams White Lantern; black and white seared tuna paired with Samuel Adams Double Agent IPL; grilled rip-cap, fava succotash, natural jus paired with Samuel Adams Boston Lager; sticky toffee pudding paired with Samuel Adams Tetravis. Registration is required. Dinner goes from 8 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased by calling 305-604-5442.
