Red Robin, the Colorado-based gourmet burger chain, has upped its status to next level awesomeness by adding a Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer milkshake to its menu.

Once thought to be a taboo fantasy of beer snobs and dairyphiles, this milk shake is a sure sign that Oktoberfest is right around the corner.

If you previously had trouble deciding whether to get a beer or a milkshake with your burger, Red Robin master mixologist Donna Ruch has got your back. "Now our guests don't have to choose between a beer or a milkshake to go with their burger," Ruch said in a press release.

Not sure how it's made, but it appears that the dessert is soft serve vanilla ice cream mixed with Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer, then topped with whipped cream and caramel because, you know, the amber color has to match the autumn profile of Oktoberfest.

The masterpiece milkshake will be on sale until November 11 and it costs $5. It'll be the best five bucks you'll ever spend. Still have to be 21 to buy it, though.

Along with the milkshake, Red Robin also added an Oktobefest Burger made with a grilled beef patty, a pretzel bun and slathered in beer-infused mustard sauce.
