In fact, Williams took the penthouse off the market about a year ago with no buyers apparently coming forward in the two years it was for sale. Now he's re-listed it for the cool price of $10.99 million, which is an actual steal considering he once had it on the market for $16.8 million and Pharrell himself bought the place for $12.525 million back in 2007.
Seems he's desperate to part ways with the penthouse. Williams did utilize the home quite a lot during a brief cool down in his career between the time he was every TRL-grade pop star's go-to hitmaker as part of the production squad the Neptunes and his recent reemergence as a bonafide solo star. He's busy now basking in relevancy and taking a regular chair as a judge on NBC's The Voice, and apparently doesn't have much need for his 305
In fact, he's since bought himself a $7 million mansion in the hills of Los Angeles.
His Miami unit takes up the top two floors of the Bristol and comes complete with a giant domed ceiling. It also features 360-degree views of both bay and city. All told there are 9,000 square feet of living space with an additional 5,000 square feet of balcony and deck space. The unit has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms and frankly seems like the perfect place for any global baller with millions of extra dollars lying around.
Then again, global ballers with millions of extra dollars lying around currently have a lot of condos to choose from in Miami. Perhaps Williams is having a tough time selling the place because the building itself isn't exactly shiny or new. It was topped off all the way back in 1993, which makes it nearly antique architecture by Brickell standards. Designed by a small local firm, albeit a well-respected one, the building also doesn't claim the "starchitect" pedigree of many newer buildings in the city.
Though the pieces obviously won't come with the place, the penthouse is well known as a showplace for Williams' collection of modern pop-art (including some very prominent takes on characters from Family Guy by the artist KAWS).
