Looks like Star Island is losing one of its longtime celebrity residents. Comedian and talk show host Rosie O'Donnell has put her 11,000-square-foot spread on the market for a whopping $19.5 million. The real estate move comes just days after O'Donnell's talk show on Oprah's OWN network was cancelled.
O'Donnell purchased the property at 43 Star Island Drive in 1999, during the peak of popularity of her original daytime talk show, "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." Back then, she paid "just" $6.75 million for the property. The asking price is a 289 percent markup on the residence. Good to know someone can still make money in Miami real estate. Well, assuming O'Donnell finds a buyer.
The property has 12 bedrooms and 11.5 baths baths. Two guest houses and a pool also sit on the 1.11 acre plot.
Star Island has lost a little bit of its star power in recent years. Shaq and A-Rod have also left the island. Gloria Estefan and P. Diddy, though, still makes homes on the exclusive island.
No word, however, on why or where O'Donnell is moving.
