Fresh off a reported split form his longtime girlfriend, the world's most eligible bachelor, Prince Harry, is reportedly in South Beach celebrating a friend's bachelor party.
Do you hear that? It's the sound of thousands of Miami girls desperately rummaging through their closets trying to find the perfect outfit that says, "Hey, I'm sexy and available, but also I'm future British royalty material."
Harry is fresh off a reported split from girlfriend Cressida Bonas, who despite her name is not a Harry Potter character. The two had dated for close to two years.
Harry, along with Prince William, is scheduled to attend the wedding of their friend Guy Pelly, a London nightclub owner, to Holiday Inn heiress Lizzy Wilson in Memphis this weekend. (And who would have thought the Holiday Inn heiress would be classier than the Hilton heiresses?) But first, Harry is attending Pelly's Miami Beach bachelor party, or "stag party," as the British call them.
The ever-intrepid Us Weeklyreports that Harry and 12 others had supper at Hakkasan at the Fontainebleau last evening and dined on "crispy duck salad, dim sum, Chilean sea bass, stir-fried Bahamian lobster, and charcoal-grilled silver cod." The party stayed past closing time to continue drinking tea and other beverages; then they hightailed it to LIV.
Lesley Abravanel reports that Harry's LIV visit was kept under wraps. He stayed in a private sky box for most of the night. No pictures were allowed, and the DJs were not allowed to alert the crowd to his presence.
The last time Harry partied in the States, he was visiting Las Vegas, where pictures of his royal bum were taken and ended up online. The saying goes, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas," but it's worth noting that for Prince Harry, at least, that might be truer of Miami Beach.
No word on if Harry plans to pop out tonight, but the wedding is this weekend. Good luck and godspeed to all you thirsty girls.
