What did you do this weekend? Unless you masterminded an international art theft caper or got into a fistfight with Mike Tyson over his love of Phil Collins, Jason Wayo can probably beat your story.

The 34-year-old Sarasota County native was in court yesterday to answer charges that he went on an insane, weekend-long spree that included: stealing a white Cadillac, a BMW, a Jaguar and a Kia van; breaking into multiple houses; eluding police in a high-speed chase; hiding in a sleeping woman's bedroom closet; getting shot twice by an off-duty cop; sparking a two-hour SWAT team standoff; and getting gang-tackled by cops while wearing only a pair of tighty whiteys. Yeah, Wayo wins.

The North Port native was only six months out of his last stint in state prison -- and was running from a probation violation, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune -- when he decided to make his last weekend outside the pen count.

He first triggered police sirens early Saturday morning in the Gulf Coast town of Cortez, where he stole a white Caddy. A local cop spotted Wayo in the car and gave chase, but the felon escaped.

That's when he decided to really start making a GTA mark. As he made his way up the coast, the Herald-Tribune reports, Wayo lifted a BMW and a Jaguar -- until he somehow made his way into the closet of a sleeping woman around 11 a.m.

The woman woke up, realized someone was in her bedroom, and fetched the off-duty cop next door. He flung open the doors to find Wayo inside, and then men wrestled for the cop's gun. Wayo pretty well lost that fight -- getting shot in the hand and the arm by the Colt -- but again he managed to flee.

He stole the woman's Kia van, careened through the neighborhood, crashed, then ran on foot into another nearby house.

Police blocked off the neighborhood, called in the SWAT team, and barricaded himself for more than two hours.

At last, Wayo's weekend ended when he tried to sneak out the backdoor -- sans pants, for some reason.

Police tackled the underwear-clad felon and took him in. A judge denied him bail yesterday. Presumably, Wayo will be sleeping off this weekend for a good decade or two when it's all said and done.
