The rain wasn't enough to deter locals from going out this weekend. And with some much to do, who can blame them? Warped Tour, Zo's Summer Groove and Wynwood Art Walk were just some of the bigger events that happened, but the real highlight was the first in a series of events by 944 and Supermarket Creative Agency titled Swank. The first event was "A Mad Tea Party," a designer's take on Alice In Wonderland - did I mention there was an open bar courtesy of Bombay Sapphire?

There was about a 15 minute wait to get into the event, so needless to say it was very well attended. That also made for quite a long wait time at the bar as well, but the stuff was free, so you won't hear me complaining.

July's Wynwood Art Walk

With this month's art walk being a bit of a bore, we decided to focus on the individuals that travel gallery to gallery looking for free booze soaking in the art. Feel free to play a fun game of "Hipster or Homeless" because there is at least one authentic homeless man in the bunch -- er, well, maybe. I can't always tell the difference.

Longtime Heat player Alonzo Mourning raises money for local charities through his Zo's Summer Groove events every summer. But he raised the star wattage when he recruited Dwyane Wade to join him in hosting the weekend-long event. Check out the slide show as well as Tracy Block's report on the gossip.
