Last week, Quinnipiac delivered the stunning news that Marco Rubio was now leading Gov. Charlie Crist by three points in the Republican Senate Primary. Today's Rasmussen poll shows the formerly little known Rubio with a mind-blowing 12-point lead over the popular Governor.

Forty-nine percent go for Rubio, while only 37 percent prefer Crist. The difference between the two polls may be that the Q poll showed all registered Republicans, while Rasmussen narrowed it down to likely voters. Even still, it's a big sea change since the last Rasmussen poll showed the two tied.

The even worse news for Crist is the poll showing Rubio would do better in the general election against Democratic Kendrick meek than Crist would, though both have sizable leads. Rubio leads Meek 49 percent to 32 percent. Crist leads Meek 48 percent to 33 percent.
