Here are a few numbers for you:

'68, '69, '71, '76, '79, '89, '95, '99, '07, '10: The years Miami has hosted the Super Bowl.

0: The chance NFL execs told Miami Dolphins executives they'd have of hosting another Super Bowl unless major renovations were made to the stadium.

$450+ million: The amount Dolphins owner Stephen Ross will spend to put a roof on what is currently called New Miami Stadium.

1: The number of days we have to wait to find out of if Miami will host a Super Bowl in 2019, 2020, or 2021.

Yes, NFL owners will meet tomorrow to choose the next round of Super Bowl hosts. Miami is one of five finalist cities hoping to snag one of the three games.

It's widely believed Los Angeles is a lock to be awarded the 2021 game as a celebration of the league's long-awaited return to the city. The Los Angeles Rams' new City of Champions Stadium is expected to be completed by then.

That leaves Miami battling it out with Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and New Orleans for the 2019 and '20 editions of the game. As an interesting side note, Miami and New Orleans have both previously hosted the game ten times, more than any other city. So the title of most hosted Super Bowls is on the line.

The Dolphins have put together an impressive bid. They've recruited Fins legend Larry Csonka to personally make the bid to the owners. A massive Super Bowl village that will basically swallow up a chunk of downtown stretching from Museum Park to Bayfront Park is also part of the deal.

It's widely believed that the Fins will be awarded a Super Bowl simply because the other owners will want to reward Ross for shelling out money to make the renovations happen.

The team has its sights set in particular on the 2020 edition. That game will mark the 100th anniversary of the NFL (though, back then it was called the American Professional Football Association). We'll find out tomorrow if that wish comes true. Incidentally, in roman numerals, that game would be Super Bowl LIV.
