They say what happens in Las Vegas stays in Vegas, but, to borrow a saying from Pitbull, what happens in Miami didn't happen.
So, maybe that explains why it's such a popular destination for people to come and cheat on their spouses. Especially for New Yorkers.
According to The New York Post, the affair-enabling website AshleyMadison.com surveyed 5,920 New Yorkers on where they like to go when they leave the wedding ring at home, and 16 percent said Miami, followed by 14 percent for the Hamptons.
"If you're stepping outside of life as a family person, Miami gives you that feeling -- there's an allure and it speaks to all walks of life," said the site's founder Noel Biderman. "And it's only a two-hour flight from New York,"
No word on whether those two-timing New Yorkers are brining their own side pieces or finding them down here.
Though, just because people like to come to Miami to cheat that doesn't mean Miamians themselves are doing too much cheating. The site also released a list of the cities where extramarital affairs amongst locals are most common last year. Miami didn't make the top ten.
