Jorge L. Godoy is behind bars today after appearing quite creepily behind a lot of windows. Police say Godoy made a habit of leering at woman through their windows, often while they were in a state of undress, while pleasuring himself. A handful of victims, including young girls, have been identified, but more could be out there.
According to NBC Miami, here's a rundown on the recent incidents Godoy, 58, was involved in:
- On August 29, Godoy was looking through a window of a home in the 1000 block of Southwest 101st Avenue while a woman was changing. The woman noticed him, and that he was masturbating.
- The very next day, a woman a few streets over was getting out of the shower and noticed that her blinds were partially open. The woman went to close the blinds, but found Godoy on the other side.
- Later that day, back on the original street, a woman said she found Godoy looking into her daughter's window. A week later she found a used condom near the window, and also told police she had seen Godoy previously on the property.
- On September 1st, someone spotted Godoy peering into a window of the same house he was seen at on August 29th. The woman in the house confronted Godoy. Before riding off on an orange bicycle, he told the victim that her daughter had seen his penis while urinating. A gardener later found a used condom outside of the daughter's bedroom.
Police believe that there may be more victims out there. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
Godoy, who was identified by all victims out of a lineup, is being held on $30,000 bond. He's charged with stalking, voyeurism, exposure of sexual organs and burglary.
