New Year's Eve is almost upon us, and that means one of the biggest nights of the year for Miami Beach. In fact, the Fontainebleau has one of the hottest New Year's Eve tickets in the world. We'll give you a hint: Whoever's counting the dough coming in must be screaming, "Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah! Roma-Roma-ma-ah! Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!"
Yeah, it's everyone's favorite walking avant-garde fashion closet, Lady Gaga. The New York Post says the website NewYearsEve.com has already sold more than $1million in tickets. The Fame Monster herself will reportedly take in $300,000 from the event. To put it another way: For a little work on 2009's last night, she'll make six times what the average American made all year.
Apparently there are only a few general admission tickets left (for just $425), and a couple of $25,000 cabanas for the poolside party. So it's a hit. The only question now is what she'll wear.
But not all New Year's Eve shindigs are equal. The Post also reports that Brody Jenner's party at Fontainebleau rival the Gansevoort has sold only 57 tickets through NewYearsEve.com. No doubt other outlets have probably sold a fair share of tickets, but we're not really sure why anyone would shell out a minimum of $375 to ring in the new decade with the star of Bromance.
