You know how it works, SportsFans. Every team needs a least couple "grinders" who provide the "glue" to stick the team together. You can have all the talent in the world, but if the guys aren't on the same page? Forget it. You may be able to hit and throw your way through the regular season, but come playoff time, you better know how to grind it out.

So how do we know the 09 Marlins are playoff-ready? Go check out this video of Brett Carroll's go-ahead three-run homer, and make sure you watch all the way to the end, when the camera shows Carroll entering the Marlins throng on the bench.
