Jeb Bush Takes Hard Stance on Supergirl's Body: She's "Pretty Hot"

We always took Jeb Bush as a bit of nerd, but apparently we were wrong. Turns out he's just a creepy fake comic book fan bro, and we found this out in what might not be the biggest blunder of Bush's presidential campaign so far, but certainly is the oddest.

Bush was at the Libre Initiative forum at the College of Southern Nevada yesterday and was taking questions from the crowd. Granted, the future of this country is at hand, but one attendee decided to use his face time with a presidential candidate to lob the softest of softballs.

"Who is your favorite Marvel hero?" asked the man.

This should be a pretty easy question even if you don't have a real answer. Just say, "Spiderman," and move on. He's Marvel's number-one hero. Everyone loves him. He's Spiderman. If you want to spice it up a bit go with Wolverine. If you want to be super patriotic go with Captain America, though you'd risk coming off a bit cheesy. This is pretty easy stuff. (Though, we have a few other suggestions for which comics Bush should read below.)

“I kind of like the old-school guys, like Batman,” replied Bush.

Batman! Sure, everyone loves Batman, but he's a DC superhero. Even people who have never read a comic book in their life know that by now. That's like being asked what your favorite Coke product is and replying, "Mountain Dew," or saying the iPod is your favorite Microsoft product. But, whatever, that wasn't even the worst of what Bush had to say.

"Supergirl is on TV," he continued. "I saw it when I was working out this morning. There's an ad promoting Supergirl. She looked pretty hot."

Oh, God.

First of all, Supergirl is also not a Marvel character. She's DC too, but what's really disastrous here is that Bush somehow quickly moved from irking comic book nerds to irking all women.

By the way, the actress playing Supergirl is 27 years old. That's 35 years younger than Bush and 11 years younger than Bush's own daughter.

“That will make news," Bush said afterwards.

Then why even say it in the first place, Jeb? Actually, at this point, why even continue running for president?

In any event, here is a list of Marvel superheroes Bush might want to check out. He just might find he has something in common with them.

Havok: The younger brother of X-Men leader Cyclops who is probably never going to lead the X-Men himself and should probably just have been content with his time leading X-Force.

Juggernaut: The younger brother of Professor X who just seems like he's inevitably going to charge through the opposition and yet almost always gets tripped up and defeated in the end, usually in a somewhat comical fashion.

Scarlet Spider: A guy who shares the same genetic material as Spiderman and who might actually be smarter and better than Peter Parker but is just never going to be as popular.
