Real Housewives of the NBA probably couldn't be used for legal reasons, but reality TV's love affair with ladies who lunch (and then throw it at each other) continues with VH1's upcoming Basketball Wives.

Although the show might not sate our need for a Miami version of Bravo's weave-snatchin', table-throwin', all-around addictin' mess fest, there are a number of ladies with local ties who will appear on the eight-episode, 30-minute "docudrama." The series is being executive-produced by Shaq's (soon-to-be-ex?) wife, Shaunie O'Neal.

Udonis Haslem's girlfriend Faith Rain and Jermaine O'Neal's wife Masha will also be in the cast. Ex-Heat player Antoine Walker's ex-fiancée Evelyn Lozada and Dwight Howard's baby mama Royce Reed (a former Heat dancer) will also star. Charlotte Bobcats player Eric Williams's wife Jennifer is the only lady with no Miami Heat connection.

No word on where the women will geographically convene (though this city certainly seems like a natural), but the show is set to premiere March 15.
