Most Miami Heat stars opt for a Miami Beach mansion, a downtown condo, or an estate in Coconut Grove or Coral Gables. The team's newest star, Goran Dragic, looked a bit farther north in his search for a permanent pad in the 305 and shelled out $7.9 million for a home in the Upper Eastside neighborhood of Bay Point.

The home had been on the market since June and was originally listed for $8.2 million. It last sold for $5.2 million in 2014. In any case, that price is a fraction of Dragic's five-year, $85 million contract

Located in a fancy neighborhood just south of Morningside, the home was built in 1970 and features 6,500 square feet of living space. It includes seven bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. It sits on a spacious 23,100-square-foot lot overlooking Biscayne Bay and the Julia Tuttle Causeway.

The home also features a pool, boat dock, and wine cellar.

Dragic purchased the place from Harry and Leslie Benitah. Harry is a local real-estate developer and investor who owns several properties in the nearby Design District.
