Howard Beale's got nothing on Dave Lamont. The longtime South Florida broadcaster and sometimes ESPN-analyst went B-A-N-A-N-A-S on air while broadcasting Florida Atlantic University's last game against Arkansas State, and howdy do is it ever a rant for the ages.

Between hollering for the commissioner and shrieking about why a flag wasn't thrown for a hard hit to FAU's quarterback, Lamont pounds his fist against a window, screaming "He's defenseless! He's defenseless!" That's when he challenges everyone else in the booth to fight him.

Lamont apologized soon after the meltdown, and has now sent letters to Sun Belt commissioner Wright Waters and to Arkansas State.

Good news! He'll be back in the booth in Miami on Saturday for the game against Florida International University.

Any chance we could bribe the refs to provoke him into an actual fistfight this time?
