The father of a 13-year-old girl who was shot and killed while riding a school bus in Miami last month has committed suicide just over a month after the original tragedy. Armando Guzman's body was found dead inside a car near Fort Lauderdale on Thursday.

A passerby called 911 after noticing a gunshot in the car's window and a body inside. Authorities believe that the gunshot was self inflicted. Guzman was 34 years old.

Guzman's daughter, Lourdes Guzman-DeJesus was killed on November 20 on a school bus headed toward Palm Gates Middle School, a charter school in Homestead. A 15-year-old boy took out a gun from his backpack and fired. The bullet hit Guzman-DeJesus in the neck.

None of the other students on the bus, including the victim's 7-year-old sister, were injured.
