Just applied to be an @Uber driver... I hope my background check goes well.

According to Over The Cap, Francis made a base salary last year of $318,000 and is set to make $510,000 next season. That's a nice salary (though not superstar money), so apparently some of his followers wondered why he needed the extra income. People ask me why would you want to be an @uber driver if you play in the NFL... You know what's better than NFL money? More money.

Francis is originally from Washington, D.C. and played college football at Maryland. Though, he replied to a follower that if he got accepted that he would be driving down here in South Florida.Francis was signed by the Dolphins after going undrafted in 2013. He then wound up for a short time as part of the New England Patriot's practice squad before becoming a full fledged member of the Dolphins in the middle of the 2013 season.
The Tweets were soon picked up by Time magazine, but Francis took some issue with their tone apparently.
.@TIME We still cool. I'm still a fan of your magazine. Just watch your tone before you disrespect my profession.

Francis tried to make the best out of the publicity and try to get Uber to fast pass his application. .@Uber can Yall hurry up and accept me as a driver so these people saying I already am one can at least be factually correct lol

And he tried one more time to explain why he wanted to drive an Uber in the first place. Same ppl who tell their kids 2 have work ethic & always work 4 everything they want are mad that Im trying 2 be productive w/ free time lol

Of course, if this all works out you could find yourself someday soon picked up by a Miami Dolphins player after ordering an Uber. In any event, you should probably go and follow Francis on Twitter. Seems like a fun time.
