In the middle of the Heat's series against the New York Knicks, Chris Bosh flew home to Miami last night for the birth of his first son. Jackson Bosh was born at 3 a.m. this morning, just shortly after Daddy Bosh's private plane landed in Miami at 2 a.m. Bosh is still intent on returning to NYC for tonight's game, but if he doesn't make it, don't be too mad. Just look at the adorable first picture of Bosh and son.
Bosh's wife, Adrienne, posted the picture this morning on her Instagram account.
Jackson is Bosh's second child. He also has a daughter named Trinity with former girlfriend Allison Mathis.
Bosh is officially expected to return to New York tonight for game three of the playoff series, but the media is already speculating what the Heat might do if Bosh doesn't return in time.
Missing a playoff game for the birth of your son is a better excuse than because you injured yourself in a fistfight with a fire extinguisher. In fact, if Bosh doesn't make it, we're curious to see how the team does with last-minute shuffles to the lineup during a playoff situation. It might be beneficial in the long run.
In the meantime, we can't wait until the Heat's 2020's lineup of Zion Wade, LeBron James Jr., and Jackson Bosh.
