If you've been wondering how acts like Jamie Jones, Art Department, Maceo Plex, tINI, Tale of Us, Guti, and Dixon were going to factor into Ultra Music Festival 2015's master plan, wonder no more.
Yesterday, the fest announced Resistance, its newest stage concept for the three-day event. There's no question that the stage's mission is to be a beacon for underground dance music at Ultra -- you know, the kind that's about the build and journey, and not formulaic drops and hooks.

You'll often hear criticism that this type of music is meant for small nightclub venues and not a festival setting. Though not entirely untrue, we are of the opinion that if Ultra-goers can learn a bit about different styles of dance music that's always a good thing. And the lineup runs the gamut, from deep house and techno to the occasionally off-kilter.
Let's put it this way: if there was a small festival featuring just these acts, we'd most definitely go.

The Resistance stage concept was introduced -- albeit without any explanation -- as part of the Phase One announcement. It's a bit perplexing that Ultra would release the lineup only for this stage, but we're not complaining. We can definitely see ourselves camping here for the duration of the festival.
Let's hope the production and stage setup is on par with the Carl Cox & Friends tent -- the only one of the festival's stages that has actually caused us to have a panic attack because we were so overwhelmed.
