Miami's rap stars have taken freestyle to a whole new level this week. DJ Khaled's former artist Nino Brown fired back at Trick Daddy's viral threats with his own freestyle, and Trina put her spin on Drake's single "For Free."

Meanwhile, Zoey Dollaz transformed a social media challenge into his latest single and more from South Florida's rising artists in the freshest music to come from Dade County this week.

5. Trina, “Free” (Video).

Trina becomes the latest artist to build on DJ Khaled and Drake’s most major of singles, “For Free.” Miami's "Baddest Bitch" packages her new freestyle with a brief visual that will make you feel slightly disappointed about how your own life turned out. Trina rents a beautiful yacht with her clique of beautiful girlfriends and treats them to a beautiful day on the water with plenty of Belaire rosé on deck.

4. The L.O.X. featuring Rick Ross, “Feel My Pain.”

MMG boss Rick Ross met with fellow bosses the L.O.X. to lay down a track about the pain of their pasts. Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch invite Rozay to throw down about his rough experiences on the streets of Carol City on “Feel My Pain.” The single follows the L.O.X.’s recent track, “What Happens?”, and may appear on the forthcoming LP We Are the Streets 2, which will be their first studio album in 16 years.

3. Zoey Dollaz, “Nicki (#SoGoneChallenge).”

Zoey Dollaz decided to chime in on the #SoGoneChallenge taking over social media this week with his own version titled “Nicki.” The song stands as one of the most meaningful contributions to the internet challenge so far as he spits touching bars about a young girl named Nicki. You’ll have to push play to hear the story he’s got to tell.

2. MeRCY, “Jungle Fever.”

After dropping numerous records over the summer (like his iLLustrious crew’s It Was Summer mixtape), Broward County rapper MeRCY tackles producer Solidified’s latest instrumental, calling it “Jungle Fever.” MeRCY brings out his inner beast and unleashes a whirlwind of rhymes throughout the song. According to the South Florida lyricist, his new jam is “the heart and soul of dark alleys, murky raps of animal behavior of the ghetto.” The record serves as the official lead single off of MeRCY’s forthcoming album SWAMP THING.

1. Cheeks Bossman featuring Zoey Dollaz, “Whoadies (Remix).”

The hype around Tampa rapper Cheeks Bossman began to pop after he appeared on Zoey Dollaz’s Port-Au-Prince mixtape. Months after the Freebandz rapper dropped his tape, Bossman dropped his own project called Moment of Fame. Cheeks invited the “Blow a Check” rapper, as well as other rappers like Lil George and Famous Kir Brick, to spit dope verses on a few songs on his project. Along with the release of the mixtape, Bossman dropped the official video for his collaboration with Zoey Dollaz, “Whoadies.”
