No more "sweaty" jokes people, Sweat Records finally got that much needed AC. The independent record store in Little Haiti announced today that it would be resuming its normal hours of operation: noon to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, starting Monday.

The record store hasn't had a history of having the best luck. It has gone through hurricane destruction, temporary relocations, break-ins, and a faulty AC system. The latter caused the store to almost completely shut down due to the rising summer temperatures.

Sweat Records really has Iggy Pop to thank for helping things get back to normal. The Detroit punk icon lent his visage to a T-shirt and made an appearance at a fund-raising party for the record store at Awarehouse in August.
