Let's make one thing perfectly clear: Alejandro Sanz is the man. Know how Juanes holds that records for most Latin Grammys? Guess who held that title just before him.

They didn't just hand those to over to him be because they dug his distinguished salt-and-pepper looks. The Spanish singer also happens to be one of the most talented songwriters in Latin music, writing music of such profound depth and displaying incredible melodic sense that he's revered across Latin genres.

Sanz, who was born in Madrid, has an immediately recognizable voice, gravely and slightly hoarse. He uses that signature to great effect, blending his modern pop sensibilities with the flamenco tradition of his native Spain, without ever compromising either influence.

Sanz currently finds himself on the road touring for his most recent release Paraiso Express (Paradise Express). The first single off the record was the highly successful, if unlikely, bilingual pairing with Alicia Keys, "Looking For Paradise." In fact, it even hit number one on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks. "Desde Cuando" is the second single, and features Eva Longoria in the video, which you can check out below.

You can catch Alejandro Sanz this Saturday at the AAA. Tix are still available through Ticketmaster, and cost $60 to $110.
