Thanks to South Florida's various ports, the region has become the epicenter of the music cruise phenomenon.

We've already battled through the Bruise Cruise, uhntz-uhntz-ed aboard Hard's Holy Ship!, and even done time (and drugs) on a boat loaded with hippie music fans.

But a few of Crossfade's most underrepresented readers will be all balls-to-the-wall happy to hear about the upcoming "hard rock" cruise that'll be setting sail from Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades on November 27.

We're talking about ShipRocked 2012.

The headliners will be Godsmack and Five Finger Death Punch with support from P.O.D., Sevendust, Filter, Fuel, Black Stone Cherry, Lit, In This Moment, and special appearances by Queensrÿche's Geoff Tate as well as one-time Guns N' Roses rhythm guitarist Gilby Clarke.

While you might be getting all Ed Hardy psyched-up about ShipRocked, here's what Godsmack's Shannon Larkin had to say about his time on a music cruise: "The whole experience was very unique and very kick ass! I would recommend this highly to bands and fans alike. I made a ton of fond memories and hope to do it again!" Wishes do come true, we guess.

Sevendust's Morgan Rose also cherishes his memories of his outfit's 2010 and 2011 ShipRocked performances. "It gives us a chance to be so close to the people, while on tour it's nearly impossible to do that," he explains. "I hope to see all of our fans on the boat!" We hope all of their fans bring adequate forms of protection and never -- under any circumstance -- reveal their cabin numbers.

The cruise will be sailing to Key West, the Bahamas, and back aboard the MSC Poesia. It'll probably be like Pirates of the Caribbean, just with better costumes and somewhat less mangy sea rats.

And regardless of who tries to ruin your ears on any given stage, the cruise deal does offer some sweet alternatives to plain-old hard rocking. There will be Q&A sessions, meet-and-greets, "insane" parties, theme nights, and games aboard the vessel.

All joking aside, though, ShipRocked actually cruises for a cause. Now in the fourth year of its partnership with the Cancer Sucks Foundation, the cruise hosts an annual memorabilia auction that's fetched over $100,000 benefitting various charities.

Oh, and did we mention that the Poesia is an Italian vessel? Just a little something to keep in mind.

ShipRocked 2012 with Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, P.O.D., Sevendust, Filter, Fuel, Black Stone Cherry, Lit, In This Moment, Queensrÿche's Geoff Tate, and Gilby Clarke. Tuesday, November 27, to Saturday, December 1. The MSC Poesia boarding at Port Everglades, 1850 Eller Dr., Fort Lauderdale. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 10. Visit getshiprocked.com.
