Rick Ross suffered a seizure aboard a flight today, and the plane was forced to make an emergency landing.

Miami's larger-than-life rapper was flying from Fort Lauderdale to Memphis when the 35-year old lost consciousness, according to TMZ. Paramedics quickly started to administer CPR once the plane landed.

The celebrity gossip site says member's of Ross's Maybach Music crew stood by as EMT worked on the rapper. Many of them were reportedly "emotionally upset."

6 p.m. Rick Ross has checked himself out of the hospital, fired up the private jet, and plans to perform at the University of Memphis tonight.

8:45 p.m. A few hours ago, the rapper suffered a second seizure.

Ross and crew were on their way to Tennessee for perform at Memphis Madness, an annual event held by the University of Memphis to promote their men's basketball team.

We'll continue to report the story as more information comes in. For now, our thoughts are with Rick Ross.

UPDATE: Positive news from the Maybach Music Group. Meek Mill just tweeted the Rick Ross is "straight!!"

UPDATE: Rick Ross just responded to a tweet from hip-hop journalist Elliot Smith letting him know everything's alright. Smith's tweeted to "@rickyrozay Don't scare a nigga like that. Thanks."

UPDATE: And further confirming that the Boss is safe, Wale has apparently talked to Ricky Rozay himself, assuring us that "he's 100 pct ok" and urging the Maybach nation "#dontpanic."
