Hip-house meets techno this Friday when DJs Rich Medina and Konrad Black take over the Electric Pickle for a night of eclectic dance grooves.
With a decades-long career firmly rooted in the Philly and New York City underground scenes, Rich Medina is a veritable renaissance man of hip culture, juggling the multiple roles of poet, MC, DJ and producer.
Medina's kept a busy hand in all sorts of musical projects over the years, from collaborative work with R&B singer Jill Scott to his famed DJ residence at Santos Party House in NYC with Q-tip from A Tribe Called Quest. With a broad spectrum of musical styles ranging from deep house and hip-hop to neo-soul and Afrobeat, Medina's vinyl sets are a throwback to the rich sonic palette of the Garage-era DJs.

Residend DJ Tomas of Aquabooty should provide for an appropriate opening set with his signature rare groove and funky disco-house selections.
