"This isn't rock n' roll," the frontman yells into his mike, despite the young men standing behind him on the stage, fully equipped with guitar, bass, and drums. "This is hardcore."

Orange County Hardcore Scenester is a documentary exploring that crucial distinction between commercial rock and something more, specifically within the context of '90s O.C. hardcore punk.

And in celebration of the pit flick's September 15 release on DVD, Strong Reaction Booking will be hosting a multimedia mega-fest of mammoth proportions at Churchill's Pub.

For one night only, new jacks and scene vets alike will be encouraged to mosh like Bill Clinton is still President of the United States.

To aid with this temporal displacement, Reel and Restless Fest will not only be screening O.C.H.S. and hosting a Q&A with its director, Evan Jacobs, it has also drafted cult straight-edge vegan hardcore favorites like By The Grace of God, Damnation A.D., and even Florida favorites like Culture, Bird of Ill Omen, and the mighty Shai Hulud.
