Sound Theory Live is the Friday night (7 - 8 pm)  WDNA 88.9 FM show that takes local bands, puts them in the studio to play live on the air, and interviews them too.

The show recently featured Miami-Dade County's own '80s tribute band Eruption. They reformed out of the ashes of their high school cover band 20 years after breaking up, when the St. Brendan's High School reunion committee booked them to play a gig. Now they play at bars and clubs around town an average of once a month, recently drawing a crowd of 500 at a Key Biscayne gig.

You can stream their entire appearance on Sound Theory Live at eightiesbyeruption.com and also become their friend on Facebook (click).

Sound Theory Live just celebrated six months of being on air.  Tune in Fridays at 7 p.m. to WDNA 88.9 FM or log on to wdna.org to hear the show. You can also follow the action on facebook and twitter. Future bookings for the show include Mayday, Suenalo, Jahfe, Cubiche, Griffin Anthony, and more. After the jump, here are some pics of Eruption rocking out.
