Is it Winter Music Conference yet? No? How odd. Because that seems to
be the only time British electro-house duo Simian Mobile Disco ever
make it down to Miami. Not that we are complaining. When we heard they
were on the bill for Shore Club's New Year's Eve celebration we may or
may not have squealed.
How can we not be excited? When they get behind the decks they bring the party -- hard -- and don't stop until you've sweated off half your body weight. Now we're not entirely sure that being a sweaty mess is how you want to ring in the new year but it might just be worth it.
Also on the bill are live performance by rapper Wale and Aussie R&B artist Daniel Merriweather. What's the downside? Well, this being NYE the sticker price is a bit of a shocker. General admission tickets go for $225, but if you want the special VIP treatment, that can go as high as $12,500. We'll give you a minute to catch your breath.
