Miamians are addicts. They can't get enough bottle poppin'. They can't get enough of lookin' pretty. And they certainly can't get enough fist-pumpin'.
Thankfully, they live in the dance music capital of the United States. So there's a never-ending onslaught of sets from the best of the best in house, techno, and electro at some of the glossiest clubs in the world.
Case in point: One of MTV's EDM artists to watch in 2012, Nickey Romero, will be feeding the EDM addicts at LIV on Thursday, May 24.
Go buy bottles, look pretty, and pump that fist.
Romero, known to his mom as Nick Rotteveel, is only 23 years old. But he packs a resume like a veteran of the game. Thanks to original hits like "Toulouse" and "Se7en," he's shot to the top of international DJ ranks, scoring a comfy summer residency at Ibiza, alongside David Guetta.
But Guetta's not the only big boy to show the kid some love. His tracks have been dropped by progressive house heroes Tiësto, Hardwell, Sander van Doorn, and Fedde Le Grand. No wonder MTV is all over Romero's deck.
But you don't have to just buy into the hype. This is Miami and we make the hype. Catch this dude's set at LIV, and decide if he's really the next big thing in house music.
