Hold up ... Nicki Minaj is a Republican now?

Everyone's up in arms because of a new verse that the eccentric rhymestress slurred on Lil Wayne's new mixtape, Dedication 4. She seems to throw her weight behind the Welsh-cake candidate, name-dropping Mitt Romney and her big tax bracket. Then she goes and calls the 99 Percent a bunch of "lazy bitches."

We've got but one question for you, Nicki: Are you fucking serious?

We also want to point out that the preceding lines rhyme "sea section" with "c-section." Shit's weak.

So anyway, the line in question can be heard as follows: "I'm a Republican, voting for Mitt Romney/You lazy bitches is fucking up the economy."

Sounds like someone forgot what it's like to be poor. Or maybe it really doesn't mean anything. The next line is a shout-out to Miami's zombie population, after all.

If Nicki's not serious, doesn't she understand the power she wields? You can't just be name-dropping politicians and endorsements like they're candy. Lots of impressionable voters are wondering who the black Lady Gaga thinks should be head of state.

Or maybe it's not Nicki who's voting for Romney, but her troublesome alter ego Roman. Roman's kind of a dick, you know. Which one is registered?

Another funny thing: She's rapping over Kanye's beat for "Mercy." And just this weekend, the Throne picked President Obama.

Who are the voting-eligible rap fans listening to?
