Courtney Love, seemingly always pissed and relentlessly exploiting her late husband's name, is accusing Jim Henson's Muppets of rape.

According to TMZ, "Love believes Kermit the Frog and his gang of Muppet friends 'raped' the memory of her late husband Kurt Cobain" with a "bastardizing" cover of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Claiming to be the absolute authority when it comes to commercializing Nirvana's music, Love denies giving Disney and Muppets Studio permission to use the song in last year's movie.

However, Love is not the absolute authority. In fact, she sold half of the rights to Cobain's music and the exclusive right to distribute Nirvana's entire catalog to Primary Wave Music several years ago.

Furthermore, Primary Wave and the surviving members of Nirvana -- Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic -- approved the use of "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Smells like a bullshit accusation, Courtney.

Now see the next page for Crossfade's five favorite covers performed by Muppets.

5. "Bohemian Rhapsody"

This is perhaps the finest tribute to Freddie Mercury performed by Muppets in recent memory.

4. "Wild Thing"

Animal's an animal on the kit. Singing and drumming at the same time is no easy task, especially for a Muppet.

3. "Stand By Me"

This video is creepy. Take it from us, never trust a Muppet wielding a giant carrot in a moonlit forest.

2. "Surfin' USA"

Celebrate 50 years of the Beach Boys by enjoying this "Surfin' USA" cover by Kermit and the gang.

1. "Habanera"

The Muppets are an incredibly cultured bunch and their musical prowess goes far beyond rock 'n' roll. Who would've guessed that Beaker was a talented opera singer?
