If you haven't checked out El Patio Wynwood just yet, this is your lucky week. Not only will you get to hang out with your buddies in a "laid-back and cozy enviornment with a great vibe and great drinks" but you'll also get to party with Atajos as the alt-Latin rock crew celebrates the release of its latest single and music video, "Avestruz."

Watch the world of music, skateboarding, and new media come together at the National YoungArts Foundation's Think Outside the Box Performance & Salon Talk. Featuring jazz pianist and YoungArts alum Jason Moran and skateboard legend Mark Gonzales, the night will highlight the connection between the art and the sport.

"Turn Up the Speakers" and rage until your eardrums explode with Afrojack at Story. Partying aside, the DJ's South Beach visit will be the perfect time for him to show off his car collection, which includes a Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini Aventador, and soon enough, the fastest car in the world: the Bugatti Chiron.

7. The Shore Leave Showdown: Southern, Outlaw, Rockabilly Festival with the Mavericks, Texas Tornados, Delbert McClinton, and more. Saturday, February 6, 11 a.m. Magic City Casino, 450 NW 37th Ave., Miami; 305-649-3000; magiccitycasino.com. Get your dose of country, outlaw, and rockabilly with the Mavericks and dozens of others at the Shore Leave Showdown. As a country band that originated in Miami with a Cuban frontman, the Grammy-nominated Mavericks, as pointed out by New Times, "have never been the kind of band that readily fits one simple and convenient niche." But now, the group is finally starting to see the fruit of its labor. Plus, the 18-hour Shore Leave Showdown will help benefit cancer research.

When we talked to Nick Monaco last year about his debut albumMating Call, he had this to say: "Mating Call is a further exploration of the main themes in my music, which are sexuality, gender, politics, femininity, and innocence." No matter where you stand on the spectrum, embrace your inner being and let your "Freak Flag" fly high at Bardot this Saturday.

Whether DJ'ing at a mega nightclub in New York or playing for the people at an art space in Havana, Cuba, Oscar G always reps the 305. This week, though, he'll be turnin' up with his Miami fans at his debut rooftop gig at Fifty.

4. 18th-Annual Medical Marijuana Benefit With Telekinetic Walrus, Johnny Dread, Nag Champayons, SunGhosts, the Tribe, Kuyayky, Apache Dragon, Fresh Air, Ellen Bukstel, Orrin Bolton, Mr. Grim Reapa, Orion, and more. Help support the fight to legalize medical marijuana at the annual Medical Marijuana Benefit at Gramps. Featuring speakers from NORML of Florida, United for Care, and many others, the 4:20 rager will raise funds for the organizations' medical marijuana campaigns. There will also be music from Telekinetic Walrus, Johnny Dread, SunGhosts, and more local faves, so don't miss it.

3. International Noise Conference. Tuesday to Saturday, February 2 to 6. Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE Second Ave., Miami; 305-757-1807; churchillspub.com. Admission is free.

Witness Miami's creatives in their element at the International Noise Conference. Going on its 14th year, INC will, as explained by New Times, "showcase a flurry of South Florida bands and some national acts in an effort to explore all the corners of noise rock, psych rock, and performance art." 

2. Modeselektor with Hardline and Santiago Caballero. Wednesday, February 3, 11 p.m. Trade, 1439 Washington Ave., Miami Beach; 305-531-6666; trademia.com. Tickets cost $18 to $30 plus fees via residentadvisor.net. Ages 21 and up.

Party with Berlin's Modeselektor at Trade as Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary return to Miami for the first time since 2008. If you've never heard of them, now's your chance to get familiar. Despite Modeselektor's pop and hip-hop leanings, the duo remains somewhat of an underground secret in the States.

2016 marks ten years since the death of J Dilla. And while the hip-hop icon is no longer with us, his legacy lives on thanks to his mother, Maureen "Ma Dukes" Yancey. What started off as Dilla Day has now — for the second year in a row — become J Dilla Weekend. Celebrate the rapper's life and music with Ma Dukes, Slum Village, Bun B, and all his number-one fans at J Dilla Weekend, smack in the heart of Wynwood.
