If you feel like deviating from the usual suspects in Wynwood or downtown this weekend, Sidebar is your best bet for some (free) live music. The bar's weekly Cherry Pop Saturdays with resident DJ Rob Riggs will offer a glimpse at one of Miami's newest bands.

Cloud Solo, a fresh garage-rock band out of Miami, is about to launch its debut album. The trio will be playing at Sidebar, joined by Miami veteran Millionyoung.

Fronted by Mike Diaz, Millionyoung, which is now a three-piece, explores the corners of indie and dream pop and is getting ready to release a new album soon too — so this a good chance to listen to some fresh new songs by two different local acts before anyone else gets a chance.

The bands usually play during the first part of the night, around 10:30 p.m., and afterward there'll be plenty of alcohol to help you get down to Rob Riggs' set until your friends drag you out the door. This is Brickell, though, so you should probably Uber, as finding parking tends to be about as easy as doing organic chemistry in an active volcano.

Cherry Pop Saturday with Cloud Solo and Millionyoung. 10 p.m. Saturday, August 27, at Sidebar, 337 NW 8th St., Miami; 786-703-6973; sidebarmiami.com. Admission is free; ages 21 and up.
