Sometimes South Florida can feel like too much dance music, not enough rock 'n' roll.

But all that is about to change, thanks to Crossfade's sister blog County Grind and the next installment of its totally awesome live music series.

Last time CG took over Fort Lauderdale's Green Room, it was an epic night of drinks, dancing, and total embarrassment, topped with a headlining set from Afrobeta.

And this weekend, we'll be jamming out to the rowdy riffs of Miami's Jacuzzi Boys, the psych sounds of Lil Daggers, and Hollywood surfer bros The Gun Hoes.

Of course, though, we're still planning on publicly making an ass of ourselves.

In addition to the superfun live lineup, County Grind has teamed up with the folks at Radioactive Records, who will be hooking up some nice DJ sets as well as selling tickets at reduced prices if you buy from the store.

No doubt, this show is gonna be a big freaking deal. The Jacuzzi Boys haven't played Revolution since opening for fellow Florida big-timers Sleigh Bells. Then, if you've snoozed on 'em, these Lil Dagger dudes are already big in Europe. And finally, Gun Hoes got the raddest name (and wildest habits) in SoFla rock.

Basically, it's gonna be the perfect opportunity to enjoy some internationally-recognized, locally-grown music while drinking a lot and yelling inappropriately.

And isn't that what rock 'n' roll is all about?

Jacuzzi Boys, Lil Daggers, and The Gun Hoes with Radio-Active Records as part of County Grind Live Music Series. Saturday, June 16. Green Room, 109 SW Second Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets cost $8 in advance via ticketmaster.com or $10 at the door. Ages 21 and up. Call 954-727-0950 or visit greenroomlive.com.
