Happy Cinco de Mayo, chingones! Pardon our French -- er, Mexican -- but tequila does that to you.

Anyway, that fifth day of May is upon us once again. And you know what that means ... It's time to boisterously celebrate Mexico's Independence Day. Even though that's not really until September. (Cinco de Mayo actually commemorates the Battle of Puebla.)

But who gives a good goddamn? It's an excuse to drink excessively. And because we know you look forward to this holiday as much as we do, we've compiled a list of songs that honor that most wicked of spirits, the nectar of the agave plant, tequila.

So here's your playlist. Put it on your iPod and let the blurry times roll. Cheers!

10. "Tequila" by The Champs

Come on. This one was a gimme, and so was the accompanying video. Use it to get the party started.

9. "Tequila" by Sublime

The late great Brad Nowell had his own take on this libation. Most accurate line: "What happened?"

8. "Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffet

A tequilafest just isn't a tequilafest unless you throw on this classic from the unofficial mayor of the conch republic.

7. "Tequila Sunrise" by The Eagles

Slowing it down a bit with Don Henley and Co. Use it as a reprise between a violent bout of vomiting and heading back for more.

6. "Paralyze" by Tila Tequila

Okay, so this song isn't about tequila. And it's not even any good. But it is by a girl named Tequila, and that gives us an excuse to embed this vid, where she's oft-nude and wet or scantily clad. And let's face it ... The dumbass is hot.

5."Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" by Joe Nichols

This works. Don't believe us? Just check back on that Tila Tequila video. It totally did! Plus this list needed a little country love.

4. "Mas Tequila" by Sammy Hagar

As if we needed another reason to include Mr. Cabo Wabo in this list, Sammy rocks it.

3. "Tequila Loves Me" by Kenny Chesney

A little more country lovin'. Guess once you get started down that dusty country road, it's hard to turn back.

2. "Tequila Town" by Brooks and Dunn

Wow. These country singers sure do love their Mexi-hooch.

1. "Whatever You Like" by T.I.

When your chorus keeps plugging 'Trón, you've earned a spot at our Cinco de Mayo bash.
