The Guns N' Roses will never reunite. But Axl's other band, Guns N' Roses, is still touring. And they're kicking off the 2011 US leg of the Chinese Democracy tour right here in Florida.
In the band's 26-year history, 21 different dudes have shuffled through GNR's revolving door. And aside from Axl, the only constant has been a legion of loyal fans who can belt out every word of "Paradise City" in their sleep.
Evidently, there are enough of those folks still stuck in the late '80s-Slash-early '90s for a full-blown arena tour.
Or at least 72 shows. That's how many gigs Axl and company played last year, the bulk of which took place abroad in South America, Europe, and Australia.
Next month, Guns N' Roses is hoping sell out the American Airlines Arena on Saturday, October 29, when they roll through Miami. With ticket prices between $53.40 and $95.50 after Ticketmaster fees, sounds like an uphill battle in our weakened economy.
Welcome to the broke-ass jungle, Axl.
