Despite the fact that Gotye had two solo LPs under his belt before releasing last year's Making Mirrors, it wasn't until the Australian released a xylophone-heavy track that he became a household name.
This week, "Somebody That I Used to Know" became the year's biggest hit, comfortably spending its seventh week in a row atop the Billboard 100.
To celebrate, Gotye's releasing a "Somebody That I Used to Know" remix record, ten tracks of bleepity-bloopity rearrangements by the likes of Tiesto and Gang Colours. Plus, he's going on tour.
Gotye will be hitting the road this August in support of Making Mirrors. And he'll swing through Miami on October 7 for a gig at Klipsch Ampitheater at Bayfront Park.
The Miami stop is one of two he'll make in Florida. Gotye will tackle the House of Blues in Orlando on October 8 before heading west for a show in New Orleans two days later.
Givers and Jonti will join him on both Florida dates.
